The three elements to meditation
Whether you are a beginner or not, there are three fundamental elements to meditation.
The first one is Relaxation and its related to space, time, posture and attitude.
Therefore, choose a space where you feel relaxed and comfortable.
Choose the best timing to be in your own company, with no interruptions, no stress, no rush.
Choose the posture you are most comfortable in, whether standing, sitting or lying down.
The important thing is that you keep your spine upright, the shoulders down and the chin slightly tilted forward, tilting 45 degrees.
Choose to be barefoot and, if your feet are on the ground, keep your toes separated so that they sink into the ground.
And remember, meditation is not sleepiness.
In short, the most important thing is that you are comfortable, your spine upright and without interruptions.
The second fundamental element to meditation is Observation and its related to the attention you give to your body, your thoughts, your feelings, emotions, moods and your soul!
To better focus, close your eyes.
Breathing is an ally of observation, as it helps to take your attention away from the chattering mind that we all have.
And this brings us to the last, but not the least fundamental element to meditation – Non-judgment.
Just be a witness!
Don’t judge what you’re thinking.
Don’t judge the fact that you are thinking.
It is normal to think!
We have thousands of thoughts a day!
It’s normal to have thoughts when you look inside yourself.
Let it flow!
Give yourself some time!
Just focus on yourself!
And that way you meditate!
